I was out on evangelism one night with the church team. When I got to a particular place in the street I heard a voice 𝘨𝘰 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘭 and share the Gospel. And so I quickly asked my team mate -- do you know of any brothel around here? He said no. We went further, unknown to us the brothel was just at the spot where I was being led. We got to know that while returning to join the rest of the team when we spotted some ladies indecently dressed.
We stopped there and by the grace of God the gospel was preached to both the men coming to patronize and some of the prostitutes as well.
To the glory of God some of them saw the need to return back home without 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘸𝘪𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘴.
During the time of trying to minister to them there was one thing I noticed, once they have discovered you are not a potential client they would try to cover up their faces in shame and make you crave for attention.
I found inspiration to write this today while watching a movie called " 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐥".
It's a movie about a prostitute called Lara. She was on duty on the side walk when a man drove by and picked her up. Unknown to her she is in the company of a messenger from God (fit to be called an Angel).
This messenger told her that there is someone who is willing to marry her. Feeling guilty and undeserving she asked how can someone accept to marry me in my current state of worthlessness? And requested for some time for a clean up before meeting this groom to be. The messenger replied That the groom to be is called Emmanuel and you don't need to clean up before coming to Him. That is His job not yours."
One of the mistakes people make sometimes is living with the mentality that they have gone too deep in sin and God does not want to see them anymore. But I need to let someone know right now that that's exactly what Satan wants you to think! The good news is God always says otherwise. You are never too far gone.
The Bible speaking in Hebrews 4:15-16 (AMP) :
"For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning.
Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God's unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it].
Yes, you may think you don't deserve Christ and God shouldn't have someone inflicted with such a great pain on the cross for your sake, you may think you need to get the service of a make-up artist to look refurbished before appearing before our Lord and Savior. But that's why you need Jesus. He is always ready to get you beautified by grace. That is the responsibility of His blood. Come to Him just as you are NOW.
Isaiah 1:18 says "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
He is calling on you today to come to Him and have a life changing experience.
1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
That means God won't forgive you of the sin of lying and refuse to forgive the sin of murder. He will cleanse you from ALL unrighteousness.
Jesus accepted to do the Father's will which was to come to a place like earth, get persecuted and killed for your sake before resurrecting. There is something he will never do for you and that is to ask Him for forgiveness.
SURRENDER YOURSELF TO HIM NOW AND HE WILL CONTINUE FROM THERE.
Sinner's prayer - Confession
Father, I thank You for sending Your son - Jesus to die for me on the cross, I believe in His death, burial and resurrection. Come and take over my life and help me to live for You. I break free from every evil covenant entered into in the realm of the spirit consciously or unconsciously, Lord in the name of Jesus!
