Spiritual Roots and Leadership
The Across Tribes Missionary Society is a Bible-based organization governed by a dedicated Board of Directors and comprised of passionate and GOD fearing members who share a common vision of spreading the Gospel to all nations, in obedience to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).
Our Board of Directors provides strategic leadership and oversight to the organization, ensuring that we remain faithful to our mission and values, as we seek to fulfill the biblical mandate to "make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19).
At the helm of our organization is our founder and Missions Director, Missionary Evangelist Aidefa Agburu.
Compelled by a fervent and ever burning passion for spreading the Good News, he strives to see Jesus' glory shine brightly in nations around the globe. Under the leading of the Holy Spirit, Evangelist Agburu has provided instrumental leadership in defining the mission and purpose of Across Tribes Missionary Society
As a humble servant-leader, Evangelist Aidefa Agburu remains steadfast in his conviction that a ministry built around its founder seldom outlives the founder, whereas a lasting ministry is built around God. This guiding principle shapes his approach to leadership, as he prioritizes humility and anonymity over self-promotion.
Evangelist recognizes that true greatness in ministry is not measured by personal ambition or recognition, but by faithful obedience to God's will "unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain" (Psalm 127:1). A ministry centered on God's glory, rather than human ego, is the one that will endure for generations.
As directed by the Lord, Evangelist Agburu and the entire Across Tribes Missionary Society submit to the spiritual authority of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, led by Dr. Paul Enenche, a renowned Bible teacher and minister of the Gospel. This submission ensures that our ministry remains grounded in sound biblical doctrine and practice.
Furthermore, our advisory council comprises bona fide evangelists and ministers of the Gospel from around the world, including Evangelist Preacher Jay and others. These seasoned leaders provide valuable guidance, wisdom, and expertise to our organization, helping us navigate the complexities of global missions and evangelism.
Our members are the lifeblood of our organization, comprising individuals from diverse backgrounds and denominations who share a common commitment to advancing the Kingdom of God. They are the hands and feet of our organization, serving in various capacities to support our mission and outreach efforts.
Together, our Board of Directors, governing council, and members are united in their pursuit of spreading the Gospel to all nations, and we are grateful for their dedication, expertise, and passion.
Mission Statement
Across Tribes Missionary Society is a non-profit and Cross-Cultural Non Governmental Organisation made up of individuals with the zeal, strong passion and ardent desire to see souls come to Christ around the globe. We have come together as a proficient and effective team that is guided by biblical Principles and priorities to spread the Gospel of Christ with the aim of fulfilling the Great Commission. And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation." - Mark 16:15.
We are currently living in an era with a large and increasing population that is constantly experiencing a decline in reverence for God, purpose for His creations and total lack of veneration for His work, wrong is now perceived to be right by many. The bible has made it clear in Proverbs 14: 12 that “there is a way that seemeth right unto man, but the end thereof are the ways of death”. People, especially our youths have made wrong choices because of the lack of the knowledge of good and shortage of missionaries and right the mentors. Our heart cry is to see men live a glorious life on earth in the hope that they we continue living righteously until the day we get called back home. We at ACROSS TRIBES MISSIONARY SOCIETY have been given a transnational vision and hence we are on mission to take the light of the Gospel into the dark places, the nooks and crannies of the earth.
“We talk of the Second Coming; half the world has never heard of the first." - Oswald J. Smith. We acknowledge and avow the fact that quite a number of souls spread across the globe are lost, perhaps never heard about the gospel of Christ. They need the Word to be revived and to survive. Hence, we respond by provision of humanitarian support to people living in remote places, poverty stricken areas, recognizing and seizing the opportunity to give spiritual.
Historical Highlights
A Walk of Faith
In the city of Makurdi, Benue State, on September 6th, 2015, the Lord spoke through a prophetic word, calling Missionary Evangelist Aidefa Agburu to become a mighty soul winner, renowned across the nations, as written in Matthew 28:19-20. The vision was for an appointed time, and Evangelist Aidefa was instructed to wait patiently, trusting in the Lord's faithfulness.
After four years of faithful waiting, trusting, and personal evangelistic efforts, the Lord spoke again in 2017, this time concerning a World Tour, spreading the Gospel to the uttermost parts of the earth, as recorded in Acts 1:8.
On November 25, 2019, the ministry was officially incorporated, marking a significant milestone in the fulfillment of the divine mandate. Later that year, Evangelist Agburu had a life-transforming encounter, leading him to submit to the leadership of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, under the guidance of Dr. Paul Enenche.
Dr. Enenche and his wife prayerfully imparted blessings upon Evangelist Agburu, commissioning him to fulfill his ministry (Matthew 9:38). On Good Friday, April 10, 2020, despite the global pandemic, the Lord instructed Evangelist to launch a soul-winning outreach, demonstrating the power of obedience and faith, as seen in Hebrews 11:8.
After the outreach, he took time to thank the Lord for the souls won and the incredible healings that took place. After the exercise, in an encounter, the Lord presented him with what appeared to be a promotion letter, saying, "You have done very well…" This divine affirmation echoed the biblical principle of God's approval. “For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends” 2 Corinthians 10:18
With the prophetic push from Dr. Paul Enenche, the ministry witnessed rapid growth, extending to Across Tribes Discipleship Centre (ATDC) in various regions of Pakistan from May 2022. Prior to this, Across Tribes Missionary Society had been faithfully reaching out to villages and inner cities for outreach. However, in a few months' time, the Lord gave a new instruction to Evangelist Aidefa, commissioning him to begin open-air crusades, thereby expanding the ministry's reach. And thus, the Glory Awakening Crusades (GAC) campaign was born, marked by the mighty move of God, with instant healings, deliverances, and harvest of souls, demonstrating the power of obedience to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).
Before the second GAC, Evangelist Agburu faced a financial crisis, prompting a fleeting thought about borrowing for the crusade. However, he immediately dismissed the idea, as it contradicted his principles. The Lord, in His sovereignty, instructed Evangelist Agburu's twin sister in a different location via a dream of the night to convey a message, saying, "Tell Macrae not to borrow for my crusade…" This divine instruction underscored the biblical principle of trusting in God's provision, as stated in Philippians 4:19.
To the glory of God, the crusade was held successfully and God has been ever faithful in raising financial partners and Co-laborers around the world for His work to ensure his work doesn't suffer. God's work, done in God's way, will never lack God's supply, as stated in Psalm 37:3-5.
In November, Evangelist Agburu attended a meeting where Pastor Promise Etubi singled him out, making clear the council of God concerning the worldwide scope and vision of Across Tribes Missionary Society.
Evangelist A.A was divinely instructed to hold the 4th quarter GAC at Aliade. During the event, a day before his birthday, he had an encounter where the Lord took him to Abuja, showing him a place and saying, "I need you here." In obedience to the command, Evangelist Agburu relocated from Makurdi to Abuja on February 12, 2025 after being impacted and released by Pastor Fidelis and Mrs. Dorathy Alika (Regionals pastors DIGC North Central) - Dunamis Makurdi Central, where he served faithfully as a youth church leader and a counselor for years.
As Evangelist A.A looked back on his journey, he realized that progress in God's kingdom isn't measured by physical relocation or from a village to a city, but by staying centered in God's will. He noted that sometimes, advancement means remaining steadfast in one's current assignment, trusting in God's sovereignty. Instead of moving without God’s approval.
With this understanding, Across Tribes Missionary Society is now poised to continue fulfilling its divine mandate, reunifying humanity with their eternal purpose. The ministry is expanding its outreach, touching lives in schools, workplaces, and rural villages, while equipping missionaries, training individuals, and hosting mass crusades, all with the goal of restoring creation to its original divine purpose (Ephesians 2:10).
Core Values
Core Values
REFTOP
R - Righteousness
Righteousness is the foundation of our ministry. We strive to live and serve with integrity, morality, and justice, as commanded in Proverbs 10:2-3, "Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, but righteousness delivers from death." We aim to reflect God's righteousness in our words, actions, and decisions, as Jesus taught in Matthew 5:48, "Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect."
E - Excellence
Excellence is our standard in serving God and humanity. We pursue excellence in all aspects of our ministry, as encouraged in Colossians 3:23-24, "Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. Serve the Lord Christ." We strive to honor God with our best efforts, skills, and talents.
F - Faith-Mentality
Faith-mentality is the driving force behind our ministry. We operate with unwavering trust in God's power, promises, and provision, as expressed in Hebrews 11:6, "And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him." We cultivate a faith-mentality that enables us to overcome obstacles, take bold steps, and achieve greatness for God's glory. We have witnessed and continue to experience the unwavering faithfulness of God in providing for our financial, material, and every other need. We firmly believe that when God's work is done according to His will and ways, He always supplies our needs. As our spiritual father, Dr. Paul Enenche, aptly puts it, "The Glory of God travels in the pattern of God." God's glory is not manifested in our lack, but rather in our abundance. As we trust in Him, He is continually pouring out His blessings upon us, and we are being empowered to be a blessing to others (Genesis 12:2, 2 Corinthians 9:6-8).
T - Transparency
Transparency is essential to our ministry's integrity. We maintain openness, honesty, and accountability in all our dealings, as emphasized in 1 Corinthians 4:2, "Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful." We strive to be transparent in our finances, decision-making processes, and communication, ensuring that our actions reflect our commitment to integrity.
O - Obedience
Obedience is our response to God's guidance and direction. We seek to obey God's Word, the Holy Spirit's leading, and the authorities He has established, as instructed in Romans 13:1, "Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God." We aim to demonstrate obedience in our personal lives, ministry endeavors, and relationships, recognizing that obedience is a fundamental aspect of our faith.
P - Promptness
As the Bible teaches, "The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance" (Proverbs 21:5). By embracing Promptness as a core value, we aim to demonstrate our faith, trust, and obedience to God, and to build a reputation for reliability, efficiency, and effectiveness in all we do.
We believe that delays can hinder the advancement of God's kingdom, miss divine opportunities, and disappoint those we serve. Therefore, we strive to respond quickly to God's promptings, make decisions promptly in line with His Word, and take action with urgency to fulfill His purposes.
Statement of Faith
Statement of Faith
We believe in the Holy Scriptures and affirm belief in the historic Christian doctrines as expressed in the Apostles' Creed and declare these to be:
-
The Trinity
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are one God, co-eternal, co-essential, and co-equal (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14).
-
The Bible
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, and that it is the supreme source of truth for Christian faith and practice. We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of the Bible, and that it is without error in its original manuscripts (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).
-
Salvation
We believe that salvation is a gift of God's grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ, and that it is available to all people. We believe that salvation involves repentance, faith, and regeneration, and that it results in a new creation in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 3:23-25; 2 Corinthians 5:17).
-
Water Baptism
We believe that water baptism is an ordinance of the Church, symbolizing the believer's death to sin, burial, and resurrection to new life in Christ. We believe that water baptism should be administered by immersion in water, in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that it is a public declaration of one's faith in Christ (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:3-4; Acts 8:38-39).
-
The Baptism with the Holy Spirit
We believe that the baptism with the Holy Spirit is a separate and subsequent experience to salvation, and that it is essential for empowering believers for witness and service. We believe that the baptism with the Holy Spirit is most of the time accompanied by the initial physical evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Acts 2:1-4; 8:14-17; 10:44-46).
-
Spiritual Gifts
We believe that the Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts to believers for the edification of the Church and the advancement of the Kingdom. We believe that these gifts include, but are not limited to, the gifts of prophecy, healing, miracles, and tongues (Romans 12:6-8; 1 Corinthians 12:1-14:40).
-
Divine Healing
We believe that divine healing is an integral part of the Gospel, and that it is available to all believers. We believe that healing is provided for in the atonement of Christ, and that it is the privilege of all believers to claim this provision (Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:16-17; 1 Peter 2:24).
-
The Church
We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all believers, and that it is responsible for spreading the Gospel and making disciples of all nations. We believe that the Church should be governed by the principles of the New Testament, and that it should be characterized by love, unity, and holiness (Matthew 28:18-20; Ephesians 4:1-16).
-
Evangelism and Missions
We believe that evangelism and missions are essential to the Church's purpose, and that every believer is called to participate in spreading the Gospel to all nations. We believe that the Church should be actively involved in evangelism, discipleship, and church planting, both locally and globally (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8).
-
The Return of Christ
We believe in the bodily return of Jesus Christ to earth, and that this event will mark the consummation of God's plan of salvation. We believe that Christ's return will be preceded by a period of great apostasy and tribulation, and that it will be followed by the judgment of the wicked and the establishment of the eternal Kingdom of God (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 20:1-6).
-
The Resurrection and Judgment
We believe in the resurrection of the dead, both of believers and unbelievers, and that all people will stand before God in judgment. We believe that believers will be resurrected to eternal life, and that unbelievers will be resurrected to eternal damnation (1 Corinthians 15:1-58; Revelation 20:11-15).
-
The Eternal Kingdom
We believe that the eternal Kingdom of God will be established on earth, and that it will be characterized by righteousness, peace, and joy. We believe that believers will reign with Christ in this Kingdom.
Giving with a Cheerful Heart
Giving with a Cheerful Heart
At Across Tribes Missionary Society, we believe that giving is an act of worship and a fundamental aspect of our Christian faith. As the Bible instructs, "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver" (2 Corinthians 9:7). We want to emphasize that giving is a personal decision, and no one is pressured or coerced into giving. We encourage our members to give from a willing and cheerful heart.
Tithing as a Foundational Principle
We uphold the biblical principle of tithing, which involves setting aside 10% of our income as a sacred portion for God. As Malachi 3:10 instructs, “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,' says the Lord Almighty, 'and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.”
Offerings and Sacrificial Giving
Beyond tithing, we encourage our members to give offerings and practice sacrificial giving, as the Bible teaches. In 2 Corinthians 8:1-5, we see the example of the Macedonian churches, who gave generously despite their poverty. We strive to follow their example, giving not just from our abundance, but also from our lack.
Faithful Stewardship
We recognize that everything we have belongs to God, and we are merely stewards of His resources (Psalm 24:1). As such, we are committed to managing our finances with integrity, transparency, and accountability, always seeking to honor God with our resources.
Sowing and Reaping
We believe in the biblical principle of sowing and reaping (Galatians 6:7-8). As we give generously and faithfully, we trust that God will multiply our resources and bless us abundantly, enabling us to continue sowing into His kingdom.
The Glory Awakening Crusades
The Glory Awakening Crusades - GAC, inspired by the prophetic words of Isaiah 60:1 and Psalm 110:3, are a divine mandate to awaken faith in territories where the enemy's stronghold is evident in the lives of the people. We seek to liberate minds held captive by darkness by the power of the Word and bring individuals into a deeper, life-transforming relationship with God. Through the manifestation of God's power in signs, wonders, healings and miracles, we aim to glorify the Lord's name and advance His kingdom in their lives.
The Glory Awakening Crusades, inspired by the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20, are a pivotal part of Across Tribes Revivals Campaign. This large-scale evangelistic initiative seeks to create an atmosphere of spiritual revival and renewal, as prophesied in Habakkuk 2:14, where "the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord."
In obedience to Christ's command to "go and make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19), the Glory Awakening Crusades target diverse tribes and ethnic groups, showcasing the Gospel's power to unite people across cultural boundaries, as declared in Galatians 3:28, "There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus."
During these crusades, various activities are organized to engage and impact local communities, in line with Jesus' ministry described in Matthew 9:35, where He "went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness."
We work with local pastors and para-ministry leaders as point men, joining forces with our crusade Director and our Founder, God’s servant Missionary Evangelist Aidefa Agburu (A.A).
The gatherings are characterized by vibrant worship, fervent prayer, and passionate preaching. The aim is to create an atmosphere where people can encounter God in a profound and life-changing way. Many individuals come seeking answers, healing, and deliverance, and the Glory Awakening Crusades provide a platform for them to experience the transforming power of God firsthand.
Across Tribes Discipleship Centres (ATDC)
After the harvest, comes the nurturing. As the Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 3:6, "I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow." This principle guides our approach to discipleship at Across Tribes Missionary Society.
Discipleship is a lifelong journey, and that new believers need guidance and support to navigate the challenges of the Christian life. As the writer of Hebrews exhorts, "Let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity" (Hebrews 6:1).
We believe that true increase and spiritual growth in the Kingdom of God goes beyond just hosting large gatherings at our Glory Awakening Crusades (GAC). Sustainable impact is ensured through our partnership with the Holy Spirit, as we disciple and nurture the souls won at the crusade ground through the ATDC. We've witnessed great success in discipling souls via ATDC, even in challenging regions of Pakistan. Our commitment is to continue this vital work, ensuring that new believers are grounded in their faith and empowered to become fruitful disciples.
Using our rich ATDC Manuals, we partner with local churches and ministries that share our biblical values, ensuring new believers receive continued spiritual growth, pastoral care, and practical assistance to enrich the souls. Our goal is to equip them to become fruitful disciples, able to reproduce themselves in the lives of others, as Paul writes in 2 Timothy 2:2, "And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.”
The Fearless David - Light Up Project
The Fearless David - Light Up Project, named after the biblical figure David, who overcame Goliath with faith and courage (1 Samuel 17), focuses on instilling boldness and courage in youths to face and overcome obstacles.
The campaign incorporates sessions on topics such as identity, purpose, relationships, morality, and personal development. By addressing these relevant issues, the project seeks to equip youth with the necessary tools and values to navigate life's challenges and make informed decisions in line with their faith. Our mentors provide guidance, direction, and inspiration for young people facing various challenges in life. The mentors are trained to understand and assimilate the challenges and difficulties of the youths and offer counsel and assistance on how to overcome them.
It is designed to bring the message of the Gospel to the youth in schools and communities. This project recognizes the importance of reaching out to the younger generation and equipping them with the knowledge and understanding of God's love and purpose for their lives.
It mainly focuses on two primary areas: schools and communities. In schools, the campaign seeks to partner with educational institutions to provide spiritual guidance and support to students. Through assemblies, workshops, and clubs, the project aims to share the message of God's love, offer mentorship, and address the challenges and pressures that young people face in their day-to-day lives in the hope that they will become responsible citizens of Zion (1 Timothy 4:12).
In addition to schools, the project also focuses on reaching the youth in communities. This is done through various outreach activities, youth conferences, and community events. The aim is to create a safe and nurturing environment where young people can gather, learn, and grow in their faith. By partnering with local churches and organizations, the campaign extends its impact and ensures continued support and discipleship for the youth after the revival meetings.
The project recognizes the importance of addressing the specific challenges and issues faced by young people.
Across Tribes Worship - ATW
In fulfillment of the biblical prophecy that all nations shall worship (Psalm 86:9, Revelation 15:4), Across Tribes Worship was birthed as the official and contemporary worship band of Across Tribes Missionary Society, founded by Ev. Aidefa Agburu and Dr. Samuel Lawrence. Hailing from Makurdi, Benue state Nigeria, our Worshippers are currently working on a debut ('Waiting Room') to be released in a short while.
'Waiting Room', a soul-stirring song that instills hope and builds faith, echoing the heartbeat of Psalms 22:27 “All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: And all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.”
As a key part of the Across Tribes Missionary Society, this dynamic team also leads the choir during the Glory Awakening Crusades (GAC), bringing the presence of God to the multitudes and ushering them into an atmosphere of worship and revival.
Across Tribes Alliance (ATA)
In accordance with the biblical principle of unity and cooperation (Psalm 133:1, Ephesians 4:3), the Across Tribes Alliance (ATA) recognizes the power of collaboration in achieving its divine objectives. By gathering evangelicals, pastors, apostles, and all Gospel-bearers under one umbrella, ATA fosters a strong network of believers who support, encourage, and uplift one another (Galatians 6:2, Hebrews 10:24-25).
Through regular revival meetings, conferences, shared experiences, and community-building, ATA strengthens and unites those who seek to spread the message of hope, peace, and salvation to their communities and beyond (Matthew 28:18-20). As a lifeline to evangelicals, pastors, apostles, and all Gospel ministers, ATA provides spiritual covering, intercession, and empowering resources to support and protect these messengers of faith (Ephesians 6:18, 2 Corinthians 1:3-4).
In times of challenge and persecution, ATA stands with its members, just as the early church stood with Peter in prayer when he was imprisoned (Acts 12:5-17). Through united prayer and support, ATA believes that its members can overcome any obstacle and continue to advance the Kingdom of God.
By promoting unity and collaboration, ATA strives to make a lasting impact in the lives of those devoted to the salvation of others, fulfilling the Great Commission and advancing the Kingdom of God (Matthew 24:14, Revelation 7:9-10).
Spiritual Oversight
In Obedience to God's Leading
In obedience to God's leading, Across Tribes Missionary Society, under the leadership of Evangelist Aidefa Agburu, submits to the spiritual covering of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, pastored by the esteemed Dr. Paul Enenche. This intentional decision has enabled our ministry to stay firmly rooted in biblical truth and sound doctrine.
Since 2019, when we began to seek spiritual guidance from Dr. Enenche, our ministry has experienced unprecedented and phenomenal growth and expansion, with a noticeable increase in our effectiveness in spreading the Gospel globally to the glory of the Lord’s name.
